Dog and Kennel Licences

Dogs in Norfolk County must be licensed under the Animal Care and Control By-Law.

Dog licences

Licensing is an important part of animal care and is the quickest way to ensure a dog is returned if it becomes lost. Proof of spay or neuter is required for all new licences, and proof of rabies vaccination is required for every application. Read more about Animal Control and Welfare. Licenses are valid for the calendar year from the date of purchase and must be renewed annually.

Kennel owners are also required to obtain a licence under the by-law. Kennel licensing can be submitted by visiting a ServiceNorfolk customer service counter in Simcoe or Delhi.
