Burial Permit

Information on obtaining a burial permit, how to apply for a death certificate, and accessing archived death records.

Death certificate

To obtain a death certificate, you must apply online at ServiceOntario. Norfolk County does not provide death certificates.

Archived death records

The Office of the Registrar General has maintained death records in Ontario for the past 70 years. Information on older records can be obtained at the Archives of Ontario website or by calling 416-327-1593.
