Boards and Committees

Norfolk's Accessibility Advisory Committee provides advice and expertise about accessibility issues within the County. 

The By-Law Appeals Committee hears and makes decisions about applications for appeals, minor exceptions and exemptions to specific Norfolk County By-Laws.

Norfolk's Committee of Adjustment deals with minor variances and consents (land severances). 

The committee is composed of volunteers and a community liaison officer from the Ontario Provincial Police.

Committees focus on revitalizing and promoting the downtown area through various initiatives, including beautification projects, events, and support for local businesses.

Advises on matters, issues, and policies about the conservation, protection, and preservation of the heritage of Norfolk County.

Long Point Region Conservation Authority is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors.

Advises Council on agricultural issues, fosters partnerships and provides a forum for coordinating agricultural initiatives.

All public libraries in Ontario are governed by a board that includes representatives from the community. 

The Norfolk County Community Policing Committee is a volunteer Committee established by the Norfolk County Police Services Board (NCPSB).

Advises Council on land-use planning and long-range policy projects, facilitating idea exchange between the Council and the public.

Access reports and public meeting notifications.

Advises Council on community recreation and parks and facilitates idea exchange between the Council and the public.

This committee reviews road safety issues, promotes awareness and education and makes recommendations for improvement.

Advises Council on sustainability strategies, promotes corporate sustainability goals and more.

Norfolk County Youth Action Committee is for students ages 13-19 looking to get involved in their community.
