Commissioner of Oaths

Norfolk County can commission documents requiring a Commissioner of Oaths. 

Commissioning is available at ServiceNorfolk locations, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost for this service is $21.05. You must make an appointment and attend our office in person in order to have your document commissioned.

  • Power of Attorney
  • Divorce, separation, marriage or cohabitation documents
  • Custody documents
  • Documents related to debt
  • Real Estate documents
  • Court, Legal or Civil issue-related documents

Domestic and foreign pensions 

Commissioning of pension documents, also known as Proof of Life, is free of charge. The Deputy Clerk provides services Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To make an appointment, email clerks@norfolkcounty.ca or call 519-426-5870 or 226-NORFOLK, extension 1261.
