Semi-active cemeteries are locations where graves are not being sold. At these locations, burials occur for previously sold graves, where Interment rights are clear, and site conditions allow.

Decoration Days

Decoration Day at Norfolk County cemeteries allows families and communities to gather to honour and maintain the graves of loved ones. These events, held on specific Sundays throughout the year, are an opportunity for families to clean and decorate graves.

Consumer Information Guide

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is a government-delegated authority administering provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002 (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.

Responsible for protecting the public interest, the BAO regulates and supports licensed funeral establishment operators, directors, paraplanners, cemetery, crematorium, alternative disposition operators, transfer service operators, and bereavement sector sales representatives across Ontario. 

The BAO is wholly funded by licensee fees (not tax dollars). Visit the Bereavement Authority of Ontario to learn more. 

Fees

For Norfolk County Cemetery fees, visit User Fees. A non-resident surcharge of 35% will be applied to all fees, except for Veteran and Infant rates.
