Tree Maintenance

Community trees are within Norfolk County’s road allowance, parks, urban ravines, cemeteries or trails.

Report an issue

Residents can report the following issues:

  • Damaged, dying or potentially diseased trees
  • Low-hanging branches impeding vehicular or pedestrian traffic
  • Unauthorized removal or destruction of a community tree

Trees will only be removed if they are dead or considered dangerous. Trees will not be removed due to messes caused by dropping fruit, seeds or leaves.

Tree maintenance is performed on a priority basis, and its priority is evaluated based on the tree’s condition, location, and the risk it presents to public health and safety.
