Community Development Award Nomination closing Soon

The nomination period for the 2023 Community Development Awards closes Sunday, March 19 at midnight.

Residents are encouraged to submit the name of a person or project that is helping to build a healthy, livable community. Award categories include building, design, environmental sustainability, agriculture, heritage and culture, and youth and lifetime leadership.

Some award categories are open to both individuals and groups. Visit the event webpage for descriptions, criteria, conditions, and eligibility.

Applications for the selection committee membership also close on March 19.

Norfolk County announced the launch of the 2023 Norfolk Community Development Awards last month. The new program incorporates and evolves the previous Heritage Dogwood, Development Site Plan and Economic Development Awards.

The awards will be presented in early June with a further announcement and publication of recipients.
