Help shape the future of curbside waste collection

Norfolk County is turning to residents for crucial feedback to inform the future of curbside waste collection.

As the curbside waste collection contract expires in September 2026, Norfolk is actively seeking community input to ensure that future waste management services align with the needs and preferences of the community. Additional decision-making factors include financial analyses of the various options and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Staff will then use this data to develop recommendations for Council on future curbside waste collection programs.

Provide feedback

From Tuesday, May 21 to Tuesday, June 11, residents can provide feedback in the following ways:

  • Online survey at EngageNorfolk.ca/Waste.
  • Paper surveys available at Norfolk County Public Library Branches, County Administration Buildings in Delhi and Simcoe, and the Simcoe Recreation Centre
  • Email comments to waste@norfolkcounty.ca
In-person engagement sessions

In addition to the surveys, the County will hold two in-person community engagement sessions to connect with residents on the topic.

  • Tuesday, May 28, Simcoe Recreation Centre, Norfolk Room, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 4, St. Williams Community Centre, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
