Norfolk celebrates Pride Month with flag raising

Norfolk County proudly announces the raising of the Pride Flag at the County Administration Building, located at 50 Colborne Street South in Simcoe, which took place on Friday, May 31, in adherence to the County’s flag policy. A ceremonial flag-raising event, officiated by Mayor Amy Martin, members of Council, and staff, is scheduled at the same location on Tuesday, June 4, at 12:30 p.m.

Members of the community and media partners are invited to attend, celebrate, and capture photographs during this occasion.

Quotes:

Mayor Amy Martin

“By raising the Pride Flag, Norfolk proudly affirms our dedication to fostering an inclusive community that is welcoming to all. It is paramount for the LGBTQ+ community to witness our support and recognition of their valued presence within Norfolk County.”
