Norfolk County announces the launch of Amplify Norfolk Grant Program for 2025

Norfolk County is thrilled to announce the launch of the Amplify Norfolk Grant Program for 2025. This program is designed to support not-for-profit organizations in producing new live entertainment events, providing a unique opportunity to enhance Norfolk’s cultural landscape of community.  

These grants will cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, including artist fees, venue rental, production costs, and related event costs.  

Event organizers must commit an equal or greater amount of funding, which can come from other grant programs, community groups, fundraising, private contributions, and more. 

The Amplify Norfolk Grant Program aims to: 

  • Support the development and presentation of first-time live entertainment events by Norfolk-based not-for-profit organizations. 
  • Expand the scope of entertainment in Norfolk County. 
  • Promote tourism, increased spending, and overnight stays in Norfolk County. 
  • Encourage entertainment with strong artist merit and community influence. 
  • Ensure projects are viable through experience, research, budgets, and planning. 
  • Create a lasting impact on applicants, communities, audiences, and participants. 
  • Encourage collaboration among entities within Norfolk County.  

Grant categories and deadlines 

The 2025 Amplify Norfolk Grant Program has a total funding allocation of $105,000, with grants available for $20,000 and $40,000. A $5,000 accessibility funding grant is also available that may be added to other grants.   

Project timing 

Projects must occur between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Events must take place during the “shoulder season” and cannot occur during the peak tourism season from July to August. Funds must be used during 2025. See the program website for more details.   

Eligibility 

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations registered in Ontario, charitable organizations, BIAs, Chambers of Commerce, and Board of Trade Organizations. Co-productions are also eligible. See the program website for more information on eligible and ineligible applicants, projects, and expenses.  

Application Process 

Applications can be submitted through the Amplify Norfolk Grant Program application system, available online from September 20, 2024, to November 3, 2024. Applicants must include a project budget to confirm funding match, confirm eligible expenses, and evaluate financial viability and cost-effectiveness. Grant Recipients must provide a report for the project after project completion.
