Norfolk County hosting Public Information Centre on Simcoe-Townsend Water Supply System

Norfolk County has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to implement an approximately 20 km length transmission watermain that connects Simcoe to the Townsend Water Supply System.

This project will secure water supply from the Nanticoke Water Treatment Plant. The improvements are required to meet long-term water supply capacity demands and regulatory compliance requirements within the County.

On August 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., the first of two Public Information Centres will be held at the County’s Council Chambers, where both County staff and consultants will be onsite providing project details, and opportunities for the public to ask questions.

Additional information can be found on EngageNorfolk, the County’s community engagement website.
