In 2024, Norfolk County employees raised $36,250 for local charities in 2024 through the “Dress Down Days” initiative, also known as ‘3D Fridays.’

The program allows staff to contribute $2 each week to dress casually on Fridays, with funds supporting a different charity each month. In 2024, donations were made to the following organizations:

  • January: Campfire Circle
  • February: Waterford & District Food Cupboard
  • March: Canadian Mental Health Association
  • April: Church Outserving/Riversyde 83
  • May: Simcoe and District Humane Society
  • June: Child Nutrition Network of Haldimand-Norfolk
  • July: Salvation Army Haldimand-Norfolk
  • August: Cancer Support and Resource Program
  • September: The Woodland Cultural Centre
  • October: Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice
  • November: Haldimand Norfolk Learning Centres
  • December: Norfolk Association for Community Living

The Norfolk County Employee Social Committee manages and selects the annual list of charities based on staff recommendations. Funds collected are pooled and donated in one lump sum each month, enabling meaningful contributions to various local causes.
