Parade of Champions returns in 2022

The Norfolk County Parade of Champions will return on Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Norfolk County Fair.

The event – which is conducted by Norfolk County and the Norfolk County Sports Hall of Recognition – recognizes teams and individuals who have won provincial, national, or international sporting competitions, as well as individuals from Norfolk County who played on championship teams representing communities within or outside Norfolk County.

Since the Parade of Champions events were not held in 2020 and 2021, individuals or teams who have won provincial, national, or international championships since the last Parade of Champions in October 2019 are eligible for inclusion in the 2022 event.

Members of the community are encouraged to nominate athletes who meet the qualifications for inclusion by contacting Lisa Girard at lisa.girard@norfolkcounty.ca before Sept. 28, 2022.
