Save on 2024 dog tags

Norfolk County dog owners, now is the time to purchase a 2024 licence tag for your furry friend.

All dogs in the municipality are required to be licensed each year. Failure to do so could result in fines being issued to the owners of untagged dogs under Animal Care and Control By-Law 2014-46

Licensing encourages responsible pet ownership and can help identify lost dogs and reunite them with their family as quickly as possible. Funds generated from licenses also help to supplement the cost of animal control services within Norfolk County.

Residents can save by purchasing dog tags before February 1. Fees are as follows:

Up to and including February 1, 2024:

  • $29.50 per spayed/neutered dog
  • $45.25 per intact dog

After February 1, 2024:

  • $37.75 per spayed/neutered dog
  • $51.50 per intact dog

To purchase a dog tag, fill out the online Dog Tag Application and bring it to any of the locations below. Proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations are required for all new licenses.
