Tour Simcoe Wastewater Plant this Saturday, August 26

For the second time this year, Norfolk County’s Environmental and Infrastructure Services Division is inviting residents to a behind-the-scenes look at one of their facilities.

On Saturday, August 26 members of the community can enjoy a free tour of the Simcoe Wastewater Plant at 16 Oakwood Avenue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will get to explore the wastewater treatment plant and learn how wastewater is cleaned to protect the environment.  There will also be a wastewater education trailer onsite and activities for kids of all ages.

“We want residents to be aware of our facilities and the services they provide,” said Mayor Amy Martin. “This is a great opportunity for people to meet our Environmental and Infrastructure Services team and see what they accomplish every day.”
