Watering restriction begin in Norfolk County on May 15

 

Effective today, water usage in urban areas will be restricted until September 15.

As per Water Restriction By-Law 2003-63, home and business owners in the areas of Courtland, Delhi, Port Dover, Port Rowan, Simcoe, St. Williams, and Waterford should only water lawns, plants, vegetables, flowers, etc. between the hours of 9 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.

Houses with odd house numbers should water on odd calendar days and houses with even house numbers water on even calendar days.

The exemption is for newly planted sod for the first 24 hours following installation (when requested, proof of installation date must be provided).
