Following several amendments to the proposed 2025 Levy Operating Budget, the Budget Committee has recommended the 2025 Budget at the meeting held on January 15, 2025.
The 2025 levy increase of 6.1 per cent will result in an average residential property tax increase of 4.3 per cent. This translates to an annual increase of $155.48 for the median assessed residential property within Norfolk.

- Transportation Engineering Specialist
- Realty Services Specialist
- Network / System Analyst
Increased infrastructure funding to address reserve balances and debt servicing costs was included in the budget as a Council Approved Initiative after approval during the Capital Budget. This was the main driver for the 2025 increase, demonstrating Council’s commitment to addressing the Norfolk’s long-term financial sustainability.

The budget approval is the final step in the 2025 budget process for the County. The Rate Supported and Capital Budgets were approved in October and November 2024, respectively.
