Mayor’s Affordability Roundtable aims to tackle rising costs

Norfolk County is calling upon residents to participate in the Mayor’s Affordability Roundtable. 

This group will provide a road map highlighting how the County can identify and execute affordability priorities in many areas, including housing. 

Registration for fall and winter recreation programs starts August 22  

Norfolk County’s Fall and Winter Recreation Program Guide is now available online to help residents plan and prepare for registration. From swimming, sports, and fitness to art, dancing, and music, Norfolk County is offering dozens of programs and activities for all ages and abilities.

The study is using new forecasts and new directions to investigate locations for future development within or expanding upon existing settlement areas, reviewing industrial employment lands, dealing with overall housing needs, examining agricultural areas, and much more.

Norfolk County staff and Council would like to express their sincere condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Waterford native, Zachery (Zak) Freeman Muise, who was killed in the line of duty in British Columbia last week.

Water leak detection pilot begins July 24

Norfolk County staff will be conducting a water leak detection pilot from July 24 to 28 in Port Rowan and St. Williams to identify potential water leaks or breaks in County pipes.

Port Dover drinking water update

Norfolk County staff are moving forward to connect additional Port Dover properties to the County’s municipal drinking water following the capacity increase to the town’s water supply announced in May.
