Registration for Norfolk County’s Fall and Winter Recreation programs opens on Tuesday, September 17, at noon. The Recreation Program Guide provides details about the wide variety of programs, including swimming, sports, fitness, arts, dancing, and music, designed to accommodate residents of all ages and abilities.

New programs for Fall/Winter 2024/25 

  • Adaptive Multi-Sports
  • Rhythm & Strength Fitness
  • Power Circuit Training
  • TGIF Waterford Pick-up Play – Coed Sports Series with drop-in Dodgeball starting now, Floor Hockey starting in December and Pickleball in February
  • Cooking Classes
  • Discover and Learn Walking Group
  • Discover Norfolk Winter Wild Walking Group
  • Beginner’s Only Pickleball at the Simcoe Recreation Centre, Delhi District Secondary School and Valley Heights Secondary School
  • Somatofulness Workshops in Simcoe, Langton, Delhi and Waterford
  • Crochet Workshops at the Delhi Friendship Centre
  • Craft Workshops
  • Bus Trips to St Jacobs Market & St. Lawrence Market/Casa Loma

  • In person at the Simcoe Recreation Centre (182 South Drive, Simcoe), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (hours subject to change)

Residents are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment.

Simcoe Recreation Centre and Simcoe Seniors’ Centre 

The Simcoe Recreation Centre offers indoor activities such as Pickleball, walking programs, new adult fitness classes, and a selection of children’s programs. The Simcoe Seniors’ Centre, housed within the facility, provides members aged 50 and older with access to over 40 weekly programs.

Delhi Friendship Centre  

Additionally, Norfolk County continues to offer educational, recreational, and social programs for individuals aged 50 and over at the Delhi Friendship Centre, located at 418 Queen Street in Delhi. Programs such as line dancing, card games, shuffleboard, and more are available in person, with options available over the phone through the Seniors Centre Without Walls program. Upcoming programs include:

  • Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together (SMART Fitness)
  • Strength and Stretch Fitness
  • Stronger Together Fitness
  • Monthly workshops
