Hunting

Norfolk's diverse and rich rural habitats provide opportunities for those wishing to participate in hunting seasons throughout the year.

As of 2020, the Long Point Area Fish and Game Club administers hunting in Norfolk County.

Licensing Information

Hunting licenses are available to purchase at the following locations:

• H. Stilwell’s Guns and Ammo 960 Norfolk County Road 28, Langton, ON N0E 1G0
• Caffery Hardware & Electric Ltd. (Home Hardware) 122 King Street, Delhi, ON N4B 1X8

Hunting seasons

Regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry and the Canadian Wildlife Service, the following hunting seasons are permitted in Norfolk County:

• Waterfowl ~ including Goose & Duck
• White-tailed Deer (Controlled hunt)
• Wild Turkey
• Small Game ~ including rabbit, pheasant, grouse, and squirrel

Sunday gun hunting

• Sunday gun hunting is permitted in Norfolk County. Permission to hunt on all private lands is required. Trespassing will not be tolerated, and violators will be prosecuted.
• Conservation Officers, the Ontario Provincial Police and Norfolk County By-law Enforcement, will be enforcing all laws and regulations
• Respect for other users of public lands should be exercised. Conflict among users may jeopardize the future of hunting on these lands.
