Norfolk County is reminding dog owners that 2025 dog licences are now available to be purchased.
All dogs in the municipality must be licensed annually under Animal Care and Control By-Law 2014-46. Failure to do so may result in fines for owners of untagged dogs.
Licensing supports responsible pet ownership by helping to identify lost dogs and quickly reunite them with their families. Funds from licence sales also help offset the cost of animal control services in Norfolk County.
Residents can save by purchasing dog tags before February 1. Fees are as follows:
Up to and including February 1, 2025:
- $37.50 per spayed/neutered dog
- $50.00 per intact dog
After February 1, 2025:
- $42.50 per spayed/neutered dog
- $55.00 per intact dog
To purchase a dog tag, complete the online Dog Tag Application and bring it to one of the locations listed below. Proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination is required for all new licences.
